Yo Mama's Bruschetta


  • Yo Mama’s Marinara Magnifica

  • Ricotta cheese

  • Shredded Italian cheese

  • Butter (optional)

  • Fresh or dried basil (optional)

  • Salt and pepper

  • Some kind of crusty bread loaf (think French, Cuban, Italian, Country, Peasant or the like). I used this tried and true homemade loaf:

Homemade French bread:

1 Tbl sugar

1 Tbl salt

2-1/4 tsp yeast

2 cups warm water (105-110 degrees F)

5-6 cups flour

Mix first 4 ingredients. Add flour gradually, one cup at a time. When dough becomes difficult to mix, switch to dough hook on electric mixer. Knead for several minutes. Let rise in bowl for 2 hours until doubled in bulk (cover with damp towel). Form into loaves and put on greased baking sheet or French bread pans. Slash tops with knife.Put in cold oven. Turn oven to 450 degrees and let bake for 40-45 minutes (that is total time from moment you put in cold).
